Figured we would talk about a deadly killer today and one that we can all experience: carbon monoxide poisoning. This video points out several major causes of CO poisoning and even explains why CO kills.
FYI, carbon monoxide has no color, taste, or smell. As such, you must be vigilant at all times. A quality CO detector is a must too. And, did you know that many alarms have built in shut-off devices that permanently disable the alarm after several years of use? I didn’t know that until a few months ago when mine inexplicably quit working!

I wonder if an alarm system disabling a safety device is legal ? I only say this because in some states its the law to have both a fire and CO2 alarm in the house . Anybody dies as a result of an alarm system disabling the CO2 device is just praying for a law suit by an ambulance chaser .
Don’t know about that. I prefer to trust myself and will always use a battery operated CO alarm, smoke alarms, etc. Can’t trust the builders to my family’s lives.
I hear ya !
Always good to have a reminder. Thank you.
