While I'm tending to shy away from unproven methods of food storage these days, it is nice to see what can be done with what we have; in this case the beer bottle would have been trashed or recycled but was put to better use. I should also mention that this isn't the perfect reason to start putting back several beers a night... I'm sure the Mrs. won't approve.]

Well , if contact with aluminum bothers you , you could use the proven colonial method they used for canteens , which is to melt up some beeswax and slosh it around the inside .
