It might be good but Im a skeptic when it comes to things like that . I used to carry a machete camping but a few times with that thing and I gave it to a prepper friend of mine . I then tried out one of Cold Steel’s tomahawks , and have found that is way better for my needs than a machete . It chops better ( no surprises there ) faster , and with less effort and the back end is for hammering , you will be surprised at how much you use a hammer in the woods if you have one . The weight is between the two is generally the same , with the hawk being only slightly heavier , not enough to make a difference . One item I would HIGHLY recommend anybody having is Cold Steel’s special forces ( spetsnaz ) shovel ! worth more than you will pay for it ! This thing is a NASTY weapon , good hatchet , and yes you can dig with it .
Like I mentioned in the post, I’m usually not a big fan of multi-use tools but, c’mon… this thing is cool!
It is cool …..I would have to handle one .
