[I happened upon this video from another preparedness site (I think it was SurvivalistBlog.net) and I thought it was a neat idea so I'm passing it along. Essentially the Ultimate Battery Power (UBP) manufacturers created a power system that allows you to connect your cordless devices directly to a belt-worn (or backpack) battery that lasts longer than traditional cordless batteries and reduces the weight of the cordless tool as well. They say it can be used with an assortment of tools, including DeWalt, Craftsman, Ryobi, and more; you just have to select the correct adapter.
