This is a very nice lantern for emergency preparedness… will probably outlast you! Just remember to stock enough D-cell batteries to keep it running.

These lanterns are far the best I’ve tried. It is durable and the quality is really good. I recommend this especially if you want one that will last a long time.
I will pass on this , you need light but there are a lot of hand crank LED lanterns out there , and in my opinion , blows batteries away . Spend a little more now for a good hand crank lantern , or pay more later in the form of batteries +lantern +weight of the batteries + storage space for batteries .
I’ve never found a hand-crank anything that I like! Any recommendations?
yeah , Ill go look at the one I have outside and post the name .
I’ve owned one of these lanterns for a while and highly recommend it. The only drawback is that it uses D batteries, which are difficult to recharge. Otherwise, it’s a good lantern.
