PrepperIdeas.com put up a nice article on how to Build Your Own 12 Volt DC Engine/Generator that may be of interest to those more handy persons among us. The idea is to utilize a lawnmower engine and car alternator (among other parts) to makeshift your own generator. Of course, you’ll need plenty of gasoline stored to make it worthwhile and some serious mechanical skills… neither of which I have.
