Easy Ammo Saver Pouches!

This post regarding Ammo Saver Pouches could be just the idea you’ve been looking for as a neat way to pack ammo using Foodsaver pouches for easy access while even keeping your OPSEC in mind:

“Prepography reader KAW71 was kind enough to share the following preparedness tip with our readers…Ammo Saver Pouches.

1. Ammo is protected from the elements.

2. There is no wasted space in the packaging because it is basically shrink wrapped. Sometimes there is a lot of air in the original ammo boxes that takes up valuable space.”

I would be curious to find out what the ” shelf life ” of ammo usually is ?

    • always one second less than the moment it travels down range. ;)

Probably true , they were still stepping on land mines placed in WW2 as late as the 1960s

    • Decades or longer if properly stored. It wasn’t too long ago that you could still buy WWII surplus military ammo and I regularly shoot military surplus eastern block ammo from the 1960′s and 70′s…that was stored in sealed cans for most of it’s life.

Even if no special storage methods are used it’s pretty durable. I talked my Dad into replacing his bedroom gun ammo that’s been sitting loose in a dresser for over 40 years…he wanted to shoot it up so we did…no problems.
