$1200 DIY 48-Volt Solar Power System for Beginners

I came across this video and found it to be a good how-to for beginners. The best part is that, according to his math, the system cost about $1200 excluding the cost of solar panels, which will bump up the total price tag from a few to several hundred dollars depending on where you buy them. He also does a comparison (pros/cons) of a DIY system versus a commerically made portable power station, like the Anker unit, and a final cost breakdown.

Personally, I’m a fan of DIY systems, but I totally understand why a “done for you” option is preferable by many folks. The sad part is that I think he spent less on the entire system than I spent on my Lithium battery alone years ago. So much for inflation!
