Farming, Off-Grid Supply Chain Issues Inbound?

I never know what to make of these kinds of warnings. On the one hand, it feeds into my fear-based beliefs that the world is always teetering on the brink of utter collapse. (This is likely WHY I’m a prepper.) On the other hand, the world hasn’t collapse yet no matter what people say out there, me included.

But I just can’t help seeing the world a certain way; perhaps that’s a huge character flaw of mine. I still have plenty of friends and family who completely disagree with me. Thus far, they’ve been proven correct. And I can say that 99% of me doesn’t want to be right because that means very bad things for us … but there is a tiny part that wants to say, “I told you so!”

In any case, the warning in the video below is less about “for sure” supply chain problems and more about “just in case” with a hint of insider knowledge from a trucker. The advice he largely offers in the video is to not throw anything away because you might need it when things go south. Shocker, right?

I’m not quite on board with that philosophy since I’m not a hoarder and I don’t want to stockpile used pickle jars, but I get the sentiment. At a minimum, consider what items you just can’t live without, then do your best to gather what you can without putting yourself into financial strain.

This is clearly a good time to recommend my book, Sold Out Forever, that details 101 items you should have for hard times. But, as preppers, you probably already know most of what’s covered inside. Now go do it!
