Well this was a neat DIY project to come across this morning. Fortunately, you don’t need to purchase much if you’re interested in attempting to make it. About the only complaint I have is that it sure would’ve been nice if he saved the crutches and used something else like some copper pipe from the hardware store. I’d imagine he could have found something better even if it meant a bit more work drilling holes.
In any case, I doubt you’re going to come up with a more compact backpacking grill than this one. Perhaps the only major concern I actually have is how much effort is involved with assembly because it looks like a mess! That said, it appears quite sturdy but only time will tell.
