    The UPS units sold for computers are heavy little bastards. I would rather build a batter bank with wheels underneath it. It would be more versatile, and you might be able to use your computer longer.

    If you just want to save your work and turn off your computer then they’re fine for that. That’s why they only last a few minutes. From what I have seen, they utilize the same batteries used for trail cameras or feeders, so they are replaceable.

    This is where preppers might want to consider using an energy efficient laptop if they really want to use a computer when there is no power flowing.
