I woke up feeling generous because today is my birthday. Actually, I woke up and wondered why everything hurts so damn much all the time, why nothing actually gets better despite doing good things for myself, and how much worse things are going to get as I age? The worst part is that I’m not even 50 yet! But I’m still feeling generous today, nonetheless. 🙂
Enough about my woes. This is about you today. You see, I recently published the second edition to my food storage book on Amazon earlier this month. It is, in my entirely biased opinion, a significant improvement over the first edition, detailing a lot more about long-term food storage, including topics I didn’t even consider for the first edition. Specifically, the second edition now covers:
- What to do about the 7 primary food storage problems, including one most people don’t think about.
- How to tell if canned food is safe to eat (9 signs you must know).
- How to store food long term—get this wrong and you may have nothing to eat when needed most.
- 10 food storage myths debunked (even seasoned preppers get these wrong).
- 6 easy pest management solutions—don’t let insects and rodents devastate your only survival food.
- 5 organizing and space saving recommendations (this may be a good problem to have).
- Dietary restrictions and considerations for children—what to do with special dietary needs or picky kids.
- Austere survival rations, including 3 foods to never be without (and rations perfect for a bug out).
- Water storage considerations—how much to store, how to store it safely, and more.
- The 3 easiest cooking options post-disaster (I’ll bet you don’t have two of these).
- 30 food storage recipes—using the foods you’ll find inside the book.
Right now, I only have the Kindle version published, but I expect to release the paperback in early May, possibly the first week or two. But I’m still looking for interested people to read the Kindle version … and I thought of you.
The thing is that I’m looking for folks who might review the book on Amazon, which a few kind people have done already. But, according to Amazon’s rules, I can’t incentivize or require readers to leave a review, and I wouldn’t dream of it.
What I can do is this: I can offer you a free copy of my book, in ebook format, no strings attached. You may choose to review the book or not. It’s entirely up to you. If you’re interested, simply email me, damian (at) rethinksurvival (dot) com and I can send you a copy. But I’m only making this offer available for the next week, let’s say through May 4, 2025.
If you don’t have an Amazon account or you simply don’t want to leave a review there, again, it’s entirely up to you. Alternatively, you may respond with your comments, good, bad, or indifferent, via email. I may, however, choose to use your comments for promotional purposes, including as an editorial review and/or on the book description unless you state otherwise.
If all that’s acceptable to you, send me an email. But it may be a day or two before I’m able to respond.
Last, if you, for some odd reason, really don’t want to read that book, ask for another one and I’ll send you it instead. But, like I said, I very much prefer you read my second edition food storage book.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend … actually, I hope I have a wonderful weekend. 🙂
Take care, Damian
