Mr. Heater Buddy vs Buddy Flex

I have the older style Mr. Heater and for emergency use it works relatively well if only it didn’t use propane so fast. Apparently, the upgraded Mr. Heater Flex has a few features that would be of interest to most people for only a bit more cost, including higher BTU output, omni-directional heat, a windscreen to help with startup, and even the ability to quick-connect a cook stove that also conveniently attaches to the base of the heater for easier transport.

Perhaps the only drawbacks are that the newer Flex model produces more heat which (1) could be too much for very small spaces and (2) uses propane even faster, especially on low setting. But if you have a larger space AND can connect it to a 5 gallon tank, it should last for many hours and be even more useful than the original.

Great information. I didn’t know they had updated the Mr. Buddy, I’ve only seen the older models. I’ll have to keep an eye out for the new ones.
