Six WW2 Heating Tricks (for hard times)

I know it’s still warm out. Maybe you’re still hoping summer sticks around for another month or two. But, as preppers, we must think ahead. And because winter is just around the corner, I figured it was good to share non-traditional ways to keep warm should the worst happen. The best part is that they’re largely hidden, in that, they didn’t produce visible flame or smoke that gave away your position.

The ideas include: heated stone chambers, clay pot radiators (a prepping favorite), brick bed heating, layered straw insulation, ash-insulated cooking pits, and heated water bottle layers (a cold weather camping solution). Of course, these ideas can be dangerous and some aren’t good for your health, so you need to be careful about how and when you might use them. At a minimum, store them away as a “just in case” option for truly hard times…
