My latest book, Why We Prepare: Lessons From The Past, Warnings For The Future, is now available on Amazon in paperback. (It’s also available in hardcover, too, and I’ll probably release the audiobook version in a few weeks.)
If you’ll recall when I mentioned it the first time, this book is a bit different from the others because it explains the “why” of preparedness by looking at nearly 50 recent disasters. We largely discuss natural disasters, economic collapse, supply chain breakdowns, social unrest, technological and infrastructure failures, war and conflict, and domestic terrorism, but there are a few other topics as well.
Ultimately, I want to reach the people who don’t currently prepare, so this book isn’t really for you, the prepared among us. Therefore, my only request is that you offer this book to those in your circle (family, friends, neighbors, coworkers) who don’t quite see the need to prepare yet.
Of course, it might also be a good read for you as a reminder of just how quickly things can go wrong, especially in modern society.
Although I sure would appreciate making a few dollars off the book, I also recognize that not everyone wants to spend unnecessary money over the holidays. So, if you or anyone you know truly wants a copy, email me by the end of this month (November 2025) and I’ll gladly send you a PDF via email.
Take care!
