Egg Storage Experiment – Week 14 Results

Results were eerily similar to last week…

Here’s the mineral oil egg (it didn’t float or smell funny):

egg1a-wk14

And here it is cooking:

egg1b-wk14

Even though the yolk looked fairly well together I noticed it breaks down really easily (like last week):

egg1c-wk14

Again, I ate a few bites (it was late and I’m beginning to wonder about these eggs now) and fed the rest to the dog… he didn’t mind.

  1. T.R.

The shell looks a little green from the picture 🙂 I know its not a duck egg lol .

  2. So I’d suppose that in a pinch, it would be ok to eat them and to bake with them for sure.

    1. I’d imagine they’re still ok to eat but I am getting a bit more leary. Of course, if these were farm fresh eggs and not store-bought then perhaps their longevity really could be several months or longer.
