What’s a little clickbait in a title these days, am I right? Lol.
But there’s some truth to it. Yes, I’m less concerned about a pandemic these days and slightly more concerned about war (including domestic strife), but there’s one drumbeat that I continue to beat on about, have for years, and will continue until I can say, “I’ve told you so,” and that’s the ever-destructive forces that inflation is having on the US Dollar and our country.
It is literally destroying your future along with your children’s hope for a future, and if we don’t act soon, then inflation will be the cancer that ends us this once great nation. (At least, it will end those who aren’t already filthy rich and able to either flee or buy up assets.)
To be clear, money printing is not a partisan issue; both sides of the aisle are happy to spend money on their respective desires and commitments. It’s why the debt continues to increase every year like clockwork … politicians just can’t say no to their donors or their constituents!
No doubt, debt is addictive to both politicians and consumers alike, and the only way we’re going to get out of it is with a lot of pain. But nobody likes pain, so I don’t entirely blame folks for wanting to kick the can down the road so-to-speak; it’s human nature to avoid something painful if there’s some hope of avoiding it.
And that’s what politicians have sold the American voter since, well, forever. Thankfully, I believe people are waking up. It’s probably too late, but at least folks are having the conversation of “what happens when” regarding the growing debt. Better yet, people much smarter than I are explaining it so that people like you (and me) can understand it. That’s what I’m sharing with you today.
Tom Bilyeu is a guy I like to watch on YouTube. He talks a lot about his take on current events, which I tend to agree with. He’s a no nonsense sort of guy, telling things like it is. Although not a prepper, he seems to understand where society is headed, at least economically (also largely influenced by Ray Dalio), and is continuing to warn about the coming destruction of America due to inflation.
I recommend you watch the following video if you’d like a detailed primer on the what, why, and how money printing destroys the US Dollar and your ability to survive as a result. It’s a long video, but well worth the time. Although I disagree about the potential for staving off our inevitable collapse, he discusses how we could avoid hyperinflation in part 4 of the video, so it’s worth sticking around until the end.
