I’m mostly just passing this one along for your reference. It’s a short video of how to perform the Heimlich maneuver that I’ve never seen done before. Honestly, you may inadvertently perform this maneuver when you pass out! All kidding aside, most authorities recommend using a chair to perform the maneuver. Thank you for sharing! I hope to never need it, but always wondered what to do if it happened.

  2. The chair-back technique is the one most of us were taught but that variation using the edge of a countertop is new to me too. Solo-choking scenarios deserve way more coverage than they get in mainstream first aid content. Printing this one for the kitchen drawer.
