Better Body Armor and a CCW Option

I’ve been looking into body armor again. It’s been a long time since I’ve purchased anything, and it appears that things have come a long way from heavy steel plates and uncomfortable carriers. While ceramic plates were an option back then, they were expensive. Not anymore, because at RMA Defense, you can get 10″x12″ ceramic plates for cheap! Here’s a video on ceramic plates by RMA…

But even ceramic plates have their drawbacks. Apparently, however, ShotStop has developed something even better in their Duritium products. Sadly, they appear to be out of stock with all that’s going on in the world. Even so, Duritium plates aren’t cheap. If you’re interested, here’s a video created by a former Navy Seal about these plates and why he uses them exclusively…

And, as you might expect, YouTube was happy to recommend another video from the above creator, this time on using a fanny pack for CCW, something that makes me feel like it’s the ’80s again. But, hey, who cares what you look like when your safety is at stake. Am I right? Even so, it’s an option for those of us who, like me, prefer comfort over style…
