DIY Rope from Plastic Bottles

I’m wondering how useful this “rope” will be for any survival situation as he didn’t show it being used at all but this is an idea I’d never considered before and since plastic bottles can be found nearly everywhere it can’t hurt to store this knowledge in the back of your brain should you ever need it…

  1. Brian Jenkins

    Take a look at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xo0fMIdXQqs
That is “Survival Russia” on Survival Reality: A Real Survival Tool.
He spends about the first half disparaging some “knife” tools, but at at
about 7:15 he hauls his little version of he bottle cutter out, cuts a bottle and uses it for lashing two sticks together and they applying some heat to further tighten the lashing.

    1. I’d say this is a better way to do this for sure. Thanks for the share.
