Power Outage Strategy

We’ve been getting too many power outages near where I live lately, probably due to winds. It’s getting rather annoying. But it’s not a problem because I have my power outage plans in place. If you’re new to the idea, or just want to ensure you’ve got your bases covered, this video by The Urban Prepper is a good one to follow. Although he, I believe, still lives in the Seattle area, his videos are always spot-on, detailed, and well-worth the time to watch. Enjoy!

P.S. If you want his PDF checklists, go directly to the description in the video here.

Did I miss something here? If the power is out, there is no power to modems or routers. There is no internet. Your Yolink and other notification devices will not work. Also, your choice of Honda generators ignore a lot of others that are equally good at 1/4 the price. I have a 9800/13000 Duromax generator. I had a plumber put a tap on our gas line, and an electrician put in an interlock switch in our breaker box. If power goes out, I wheel out the generator, tap into the gas line and run everything in the house. Ecoflow Deltas for running at night
