Are You Getting Bombarded With “The Ultimate Survival Bundle” and, if so, Should You Buy?

The past few days I’ve seen more and more references to something called the “Ultimate Survival Bundle,” from emails to posts on other survival websites. Eventually, I began to wonder what this “new” survival information was and so I checked it out.

I should note that there’s an affiliate program associated with the bundle, hence, the reason for all the hype. I choose NOT to participate in the program as I typically do not like to promote products that I haven’t tried myself. Therefore, this isn’t a review because I didn’t buy… it’s just my 2 cents about what I saw. I should also mention that the deal they offer is a whopping 96% off only through September 23 and apparently it’s going away after that.

Alright, so I went to their website the other day and began poking around. The very first thing I noticed as I quickly scrolled down the front page was that it was obviously a very long sales pitch which is ok if you don’t mind that sort of thing. I also noticed plenty of faces and names that I recognized from the world wide web and began to think, well, maybe this IS something to pay attention to. So, I scrolled back up and began reading a bit more.

According to their site “The Ultimate Survival Bundle contains eBooks and videos from top survival and preparedness experts. These 46 resources will help you with basic survival skills such as building fire, purifying water, shelter options, first aid, and self-defense.” Ok, that’s a good thing. In fact, their list of experts is a pretty darn good one, including James Stevens from DoctorPrepper.com, Majory Wildcraft from GrowYourOwnGroceries.com, David Alexander (the guy that created the B.E.T. system I just mentioned the other day), Steven Harris of Solar1234.com and frequent guest on TheSurvivalPodcast.com, Dr. Hubbard from TheSurvivalDoctor.com, as well as other people I recognized and plenty I didn’t.

Ok, what’s going on here? I’m intrigued.

I found that the information will be provided in digital format, no hardcopy books or DVDs. So, that might be a turn-off to some of you but not me. I’m happy (and often prefer) to get my information like that because I can easily move it around to my laptop, iPad, and so on… and if I really wanted I could print some books out.

The question is: what content is being offered and is it worth the cost?

Speaking of the cost, they say that everything added together is worth more than $700 when not bundled which I immediately took issue with. I know darn good and well that all of the information compiled isn’t really worth that much. For example, one of the references I noticed being included was Nuclear War Survival Skills by Cresson H. Kearny which I know for a fact can be had freely online here and I’m willing to bet I could get some of the other resources for less than their stated cost if I bothered to looked. But, I do understand the marketing technique so I’ll move on. That said, I also noticed Coach David Alexander’s B.E.T. Target-Based Self Defense system included in the bundle which happens to sell for more than the $29 total price of the bundle which makes the bundle immediately worth the cost if his B.E.T. system were something you’d be interested in.

I also saw other good references that I can vouch for such as The Survival Doctor’s Guide to Burns by Dr. Hubbard and Sunshine to Dollars by Steven Harris. On the other hand, I saw plenty of books I’ve never read and probably wouldn’t be interested in right now such as a few books about goats. Maybe 10 years from now goats will interest me but not now.

After my cursory overview, it’s obvious they cover most of the basics from what I could see, including water, food storage, foraging, cooking, gardening, wilderness shelters, alternative energy, retreats, and some first aid topics. And, although there are other references about interesting topics like dehydrating, it doesn’t take much effort to find plenty of good (and free) references about dehydrating such as this awesome site: Dehydrate2Store.com, which I couldn’t recommend highly enough. I might be able to say the same about other topics such as lactofermentation and solar cooking, for example.

What I didn’t feel was covered well enough were topics like emergency first aid (excluding burn care), personal and home defense (excluding hand-to-hand defense), and I saw no references to communications, sanitation, or lighting, all of which are pretty darn important to me. Who knows, perhaps they’re covered in one of the books and I just can’t see it.

Overall, I would say they covered a majority of the necessary topics and I would be willing to suggest you’ll definitely get your money’s worth out of the course at a mere $29 but I do also feel like there are some glaring omissions that would preclude it from being call the “Ultimate Survival Bundle” in my opinion. But, then again, there are some very trustworthy names involved in the project and so I have to imagine it’s above-board. Of course, I never could find anything that stated “who” or “what” is behind this site which does bother me a bit.

So, do you have any experience with the Ultimate Survival Bundle?” Have you bought it? If you haven’t would you do so?

Interesting post. Thanks for writing it!! Have you taken a look at another product like this called The SURVIVALKEY? Check out the video testimony from LTG Ret Jerry Boykin. http://bit.ly/1bf04nW I happen to know Jerry and he is the real deal. Would love to hear about what you think. Keep up the great work!!

I went ahead and bought it, mostly for the Ernie Weisner Rocket stove material, which at the.price, was more than worth it at the discount, so it paid for.itself. the rest was just frosting. No, it’s not the “Ultimate” , but its a good attempt. I hope they make enough cash to do something like this again. Like you, I think it’s disengenuous to.include already free resources (like NWSS) and let people assume it costs money outside the.print version, but its still a good deal.

    1. I’d be happy to hear what you thought of the bundle when you’re done. Thanks for your input!

  3. thanks for the info and time you put into researching it!
